Attended Royal College of Art, School of Film and Television. |

Director of Commercials and Industrial Films at Halas & Batchelor. Award-winning films made at this time include- 30 second TV commercial Antar; Renault, 6 minute industrial film made to launch the new Renault 5 |
1971 |
Football Freaks 7 minute film shown at Annecy later that year. |
1972 |
Established Speedy Films, an independent animation studio in Soho, London. |

Series of children's shorts for Yorkshire Television's Mr Trimble. Titles plus 40 one minute episodes and 26 ten second films, one for each letter of the alphabet. |
1975 - 1980 |
Directed commercials for French television and cinema in association with Christian Gandon Productions, Paris, working meanwhile on Sunbeam, a four minute short, with assistance from the Arts Council of Great Britain and Christian Gandon Productions, Paris. |
1980 |
Sunbeam completed; awarded Special Jury Prize at Ottawa International Animation Festival. Gold and Silver prizes from the British Television Advertising Awards for a series of three commercials for Holsten Lager. |
1981 |
Sunbeam on general cinema release in UK with the feature film Chariots
of Fire for 20th Century Fox. Sunbeam also shown at Annecy and on television
in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and the UK. Completed Paxo: Chicken Crossing TV commercial and 48 sheet poster for CDP London. Poster awarded Silver Prize by Campaign Magazine. Travelled in North and South America to research new film project Picnic. |

Subsequent UK tour as part of Live Wires/Raw Drawings British Film Institute package. US premiere at Telluride Film Festival, September 1995. Screened at Film Forum, New York through February 1996. 1st prize in animation category San Francisco Film Festival.
